COAST Trust recently arranged a program in Lalmohan Upazila of Bhola District to distribute scholarship among the adolescent girls vulnerable to child marriage. UNICEF supported COAST in this regard. Deputy Commissioner of Bhola Md. Selim Uddin, Deputy Director of Local Government Division Mahmudur Rahman, Lalmohan Upazila , Executive Officer Shamsul Arefin, UNICEF’s Deputy Representative Shima Sen Gupta, Child Protection Officer JEAN Lieby, Gender and Development Specialist Roshni Basu, Child Protection Officer Mominun Nessa Shikha, WASH Project Officer Forkan Ahmed, Women Affairs Officer Jebun Nesa, COAST Trust’s Director Sanat Kumar Bhowmik, UNICEF’s Barisal Divisional Head AH Towfique Ahmed, ECM’s Project Coordinator Mizanur Rahman, Assistant Project Coordinator Debashish Mozumder were present during the occasion. Total 49 adolescents girls have got the scholasrship, each of them got Tk 15,000. All of them are now going to school regularly.
