মাতৃভাষার চেতনায়- আমরা অংশগ্রহণমূলক উন্নয়ন, বৈষম্যহীন ও একটি মানবিক সমাজ গড়ি।

আজ ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারি ২০২৬, ভাষা শহীদ দিবস।

কোস্ট ফাউন্ডেশনের সকল কেন্দ্র, আঞ্চলিক ও উপজেলা কার্যালয় এবং আমাদের দুটি কমিউনিটি রেডিও স্টেশনে দিনটি উদ্‌যাপন করেছি। আমরা এই দিনটির তাৎপর্য তুলে ধরার ওপর বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দিয়েছি—যাতে ১৯৫২ সালের সেই শক্তিকে উদ্‌যাপন করা যায় এবং সবার মাঝে জাতীয়তাবাদ ও ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতার চেতনা জাগ্রত করে সাম্য ও শোষণমুক্ত সমাজ গড়ার প্রেরণা জোগানো যায়। এটি আমাদের কর্মীদের নতুন করে দিকনির্দেশনা ও কর্মস্পৃহা দেওয়ার একটি প্রয়াস। আমাদের কক্সবাজার ও চরফ্যাশন রেডিওর কর্মীরা আগের দিন স্থানীয় শহীদ মিনারে দেশাত্মবোধক গান গেয়েছেন।

আমরা আমাদের মহান মুক্তিযুদ্ধ এবং মৌলবাদী অপশক্তির বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের সংগ্রামের কথা স্মরণ করছি। এই বছরটি আমাদের জন্য বিশেষ গুরুত্বের, কারণ আমাদের নারী সহকর্মীরা সকল তথাকথিত ধর্মীয় কুসংস্কারমুক্ত হয়ে তাদের সমান অধিকারের পক্ষে সোচ্চার হতে অনুপ্রাণিত বোধ করছেন।

অনুগ্রহ করে আমাদের কেবল শিক্ষা, দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা বা ক্ষুদ্রঋণ কর্মী হিসেবে দেখবেন না; আমরা এই সমাজের আলোকবর্তিকা, যার লক্ষ্য হলো আধুনিক সংস্কৃতি ও ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতার আলো ছড়িয়ে দেওয়া এবং সকল প্রকার ধর্মীয় গোঁড়ামি ও শোষণমুক্ত একটি সমাজ বিনির্মাণ করা।

In the spirit of the mother tongue – we build a participatory development, non-discriminatory and humane society.

Today the 21st February 2026 Language Martyr Day, COAST Foundation observed in all our centers, regional, Upazila offices and in two community radio stations. We emphasized the day observation as to celebrate the power of the day from 1952, a day to infuse the sense of nationalism, secularism, and to build exploitation free society with equality. It is to reorient and reenergize our staff. Our radio staffs in both Cox’s Bazar and Charfassion sing patriotic songs in local Shahed Minar in day before.

We remember the days of our liberation war and our struggle against fundamentalist forces. This year is special as our women colleagues feel to raise voice for their equal rights, free from all so-called religious prejudice. Please don’t consider that we are only education, disaster or micro finance worker, we are the light house of our society to bring light of modern culture, the culture of secularism, nationalism and a society with all sorts of exploitation above of all form of religious prejudice.
