According to the latest Meteorological report, the tropical cyclone “Mahasen” is expected to hit Bangladesh coastline near Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar by the first hour of May 16, 2013. To face the cyclone COAST has taken every possible preparation to stretch a helping hand to the people of its working area. COAST staffs will also be involved with the government instructions locally led by the Deputy Commissioner, Upazila Nirbahi Officers and the local Chairmen. Our colleagues in the exposed areas will volunteer to provide information as affected by the cyclone.

In Kutubdia and Moghnama ghat our rescue boat will be standby for 24 hours with its driver Mr. Lal Mia (mobile no. 01739177503). The boat can be used by any GO-NGO emergency workers having prior permission of Mr. Moqbul Ahmed, Team Leader of Cox’s Bazar Region (Mobile No. 01713328828).

Mr. Moqbul Ahmed is coordinating all the disaster preparedness activities in Cox’s Bazar region under the guidance of COAST Executive Director-01711529792. You can communicate with them at any time.
