The Executive Committee (EC) and the General Council (GC) of COAST have been formed through an Annual General Meeting held on 20 July, 2019 at COAST Principal Office, Dhaka. The EC consists 7 members including Chair Person, Vice-Chair Person, Treasurer and Secretary and General Council (GC) consists 20 members.
Now the COAST has the two-tire management; GC and EC. The main functions of the GC are to approve the annual budget, annual external audited report and appointing the audit firm for the following year. On the other hand, the main functions of the EC are to guide the Executive Director to quality implementation of the programs, to approve all the policies deemed necessary for the organization. The GC sits annually and EC sits quarterly. In total 5 women members of the GC are from the People’s Organization; community based informal institutions of member participants of the micro finance program. The national and local renowned persons of the society have been included in the EC and GC.
