COAST, a leading non-governmental organization in Bangladesh, paid tribute to Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury on Thursday, following his recent passing. Dr Chowdhury, a freedom fighter and the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, made enormous contributions to the country’s liberation war, pharmaceuticals, and public health sectors.
The Executive Director of COAST, Rezaual Karim Chowdhury, led the organization in paying their last respects to Dr Chowdhury at the Central Shaheed Minar. Sanat Kumar Bhowmik, Deputy Executive Director, along with all directors and central office staff, were present during the homage.
COAST acknowledges Dr Chowdhury’s exceptional role in bringing positive change to society. He was not only a brave freedom fighter but also a doctor who made a significant impact in the medical field. He played a crucial role in establishing Bengalis as a nation, bestowing the country with knowledge and all the great works of the world.
